day one was beautiful

thunder, wind, and rain

Later in the week, a downpour delivered about three inches of standing water in my campsite. Fortunately, the tent site was designed well --high and dry.

I built a fire to dry out my wet clothing and warm up. I took this photo from my tent above. Notice the puddle still at left of the fire.

The quiet morning after the storm, mergansers fished the clear waters by my site.
