Safety Without Walls II

The term "nesting" is often used in reference not only to the behavior of birds but also of people. Settling down, building a home, and raising a family can all be equated with nesting. And when the kids grow up and move out, we say the parents face the "empty nest syndrome".

In Without Walls, I am considering the beauty in design and function of birds that flourish without traditional nests. Without Walls offers an opportunity to reflect on wall-less living and to marvel at connected mysteries of nature and humanity.

The floor plans are from the Notre Dame Cathedral. The eggs are from a Wilson's Plover which nests on the open ground in sand. Safety Without Walls II
